Update #29 - Litigation Still Pending
It’s been a while since we’ve put anything out, but we are still here!
No, the threat to our Neighborhood and Canyon is not gone.
Yes, the court case between the city and the developer is still pending. The case was filed back in April of last year, but the only action on it was the recusal of the original judge with a replacement appointed. A case conference was scheduled back in September that was canceled once the judges changed. As far as we know, it has not been rescheduled. So, we are waiting.
On another note, we appreciate that those of you that have yard signs still have them out. As I wander around the neighborhood, I still see a lot of of them. If you don’t have one and you want one, go to the “Shop” section of this website to order one.
During the summer a prospective buyer for one of the houses for sale in the neighborhood was aware of the proposed development and contacted us for detailed information. So even though the project is not close to starting yet, it has a distinct effect on our neighborhood.
We check the court docket every few weeks and will keep you up-to-date!
